    Easy Keto BBQ Sauce

Easy Keto BBQ Sauce is a low carb, paleo, gluten-free version of my family's best and most loved barbeque sauce recipe.

A Homemade Smokey Keto BBQ SaucePin

Easy Keto BBQ sauce is one of my most popular keto sauce recipes that, in the past years, has been included in most of my keto, low carb & paleo barbecued meat recipes.

This Keto BBQ Sauce is a low-carb version of my family's oldest and best BBQ sauce recipe that passed down from generation to generation.

The only difference between this version and the original is that I changed the sweetener and lowered the amount of molasses to keep the carbs low.

I did, however, leave in the key ingredient, which is butter. Not a surprise since my Mom's family likes using butter just as much as Paula Dean, lol.

I can remember my Mom saying, "Don't you dare use margarine!" But of course, she would say that about almost every recipe, lol.

Seriously, though, don't use a substitute for the butter.

We love the touch of molasses, but it can be left out if you are doing a more strict keto diet.

It is not a deal-breaker, I simply like the very subtle flavor it adds & it does not add many carbs in that tiny amount.

    Easy Keto BBQ Sauce Recipe

    Ingredients:

    • 1 Cup Tomato Sauce (use a no sugar added brand)
    • 1 ½ tablespoon Butter
    • 1 tablespoon Apple Cider Vinegar
    • ½ Tbsp Liquid Smoke
    • ½ tablespoon GF Worcestershire Sauce
    • ½  teaspoon Blackstrap Molasses *optional (can omit for strict keto)
    • 2 Tbsp Erythritol Granular Sweetener, or can use 2 tablespoon coconut sugar for a paleo option.
    • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
    • ⅛ tsp Onion Powder
    • ½ teaspoon Sea Salt

    Directions:

    1. In a small saucepan over medium heat, add butter and melt.
    2. Add tomato sauce, apple cider vinegar, liquid smoke, Worcestershire sauce, molasses, erythritol sweetener, garlic powder, sea salt, and onion powder. Stir until blended.
    3. Remove from heat and serve. Store in a sealed container or Mason jar in the fridge.

This recipe has become my go-to for pork. We all love this sauce, the only thing I added was 1/4 cup of swerve brown sugar and omitted the black strap molasses. Perfect every time. Thanks!

Thank you so much, Jeanette. If you can find a low-carb brown sugar sweetener then you can omit the molasses!
