Easy Keto Gravy is a quick and simple, rich and creamy, low carb, gluten-free gravy that you prepare with chicken, turkey, or beef stock.
Perfect for serving with roast chicken, turkey, or beef and also super yummy poured-over cauliflower mash. I also enjoy adding this gravy to casseroles and pot pie dishes.
Seriously, who does not love gravy? Gravy magically turns ordinary dishes into rich and tasty comfort food.
This was inspired by my Grilled Whole Turkey recipe on this site, and pairs well with this amazing Keto Pumpkin Cheesecake dessert recipe.
I always have some leftover food to store after the holidays, but guess what is never leftover? Gravy is never leftover at my house during the holidays.
My family is all about the gravy, and they are total snobs about it being homemade gravy as well.
If I serve them gravy from a packet or jar, they become pretty hostile. It is annoying, but luckily this keto gravy recipe is quick and straightforward to make, and my family loves the taste.

- Garlic Powder
- Red Wine Vinegar
- Salt

See recipe card for quantities.
Instructions
Collect about 1 cup of the pan drippings of your roasted meat or can also use bone broth. Strain with a fine-mesh strainer. Set aside to cool.
Bring a medium pan or skillet over medium heat and melt the butter. Add the pan drippings and stock, whisking until smooth. Add the Worcestershire, garlic powder, vinegar, thyme, salt and pepper. Simmer gently for 10 minutes.
Sprinkle xanthan gum on top and whisk to combine and simmer again for 5 minutes to thicken. The gravy thickens as it cools more and more.
If your gravy is too thick, add more stock or water, if too thin, simmer for longer. Avoid adding more xanthan gum to the recipe unless you are doubling the quantities of stock.
Hint: Alternatively to the pan drippings, you can use a chicken or beef rich bone broth instead. In this case, use 2 to 3 cups of the bone broth.
Variations
- Turkey Gravy- use roasted turkey pan drippings or turkey (chicken also works) bone broth mixed with turkey stock for a turkey gravy.
- Chicken Gravy- use roast chicken meat pan drippings or chicken bone broth mixed with chicken stock in the recipe.
- Beef Gravy- use roated beef pan dripping or beef bone broth mixed with beef stock in the recipe.
