Easy Low Carb Peach Cream Turnovers Recipe-
Ingredients:
- 6 Mozzarella cheese slices or Jack cheese slices
- ¼ cup diced peach
- ⅓ cup (2 ½ ounces) cream cheese, full-fat block style, softened
- ½ tablespoon heavy cream
- ½ tablespoon sour cream
- ½ teaspoon lemon juice
- 3 tablespoon powdered Swerve confectioners sweetener, divided in half
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
Recommended Products:
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 375℉ (190℃) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking sheet. Use a stand mixer or electric hand mixer with a mixing bowl to mix: cream cheese, heavy cream, sour cream, lemon juice, and 1 ½ tablespoon of the powdered sweetener. Mix until combined and creamy.
Arrange cheese slices on parchment paper and bake for 5 to 8 minutes, or until the edges of cheese start to brown. Remove from oven and let cool for 1 to 2 minutes (leave the oven on)
Add 2 teaspoon of the cream cheese mixture to the middle of a corner of each cheese slice and place 2 to 3 pieces of the chopped peach on top. Fold cheese over making a triangle shape and press the outer edge down. It won’t seal but should stay folded (will seal once returned to oven).
Return the baking sheet with turnovers back into the 375℉ (190℃) oven and bake for 2 to 3 minutes more, just to warm the filling in the center and seal the edges. Remove from the oven and let cool for a minute or two or until firm.
Sprinkle the turnovers with the 1 ½ tablespoon remaining powdered sweetener.
Sprinkle with cinnamon and serve.
