What is MCT Oil-
MCT stands for medium-chain triglycerides or medium-chain fatty acids. MCT oil is a type of fat derived from coconut oil or can also be made from palm oil.
MCT oil is clear in color, has no smell, and becomes liquid at room temperature. It is a healthy, brain-boosting, and fat burning fat that can be added to the coffee (as in Bulletproof coffee), smoothies, and snacks, like keto fat bombs!
I have been using a keto and paleo-friendly product called Omega Power Creamer that contains MCT oil, grass-fed ghee, and coconut oil. I have been blending it in my morning coffee and adding it to my keto fat bombs to keep me full and boost brain functioning.
Benefits of MCT Oil-
- Has antibacterial antiviral properties for health & immune support
- Can be easier to digest than most other fats
- They can help you burn fat and can aid in weight loss.
- It helps satisfy hunger and keeps you feeling full longer.
- They provide a clean-burning fuel for energy.
- May improve or boost the brain’s cognitive functions
- May improve insulin sensitivity.
