Keto Smash Burger Tacos are simple, gluten-free, and a tasty low-carb alternative to smash burger tacos.

These keto smash burger tacos are loaded with ground beef, cheese, onions, lettuce, and a tasty, homemade low-carb special sauce.

I made my smash burger patty using the mustard-fried method to replicate the flavor of the In-N-Out burger.
My son hates mustard, so we omitted the mustard from his burger.
The flour tortilla wraps I used are gluten-free, low-carb, high in fiber, and high in protein. However, you can use any low-carb flour tortilla or wrap you prefer.
My husband, who is not on a low-carb or gluten-free diet, had his smash burger taco made with the traditional flour tortilla.

Smash Burger Tacos Ingredients

Special Sauce Ingredients
- ½ lb Ground Beef
- ½ teaspoon Herb Salt or Kosher Salt
- 1 teaspoon Mustard *optional
- ¼ teaspoon Black Pepper
- 2 (8-9 inch) Keto Flour Tortilla Wraps
- 2 tablespoons diced onion *optional
- 2 slices of Cheddar Cheese, cut in half lengthwise
- ⅔ cup Shredded Iceberg Lettuce
Special Sauce
- 2 tablespoons Mayonnaise
- ½ tablespoon Ketchup, sugar-free
- ½ tablespoon Dill Pickle Relish
Instructions

Combine all the special sauce ingredients in a small bowl and set aside.

Heat a large frying pan or griddle over medium-high heat.

Divide the ground beef into two portions and place each of them on a tortilla.
Use your hands to press and spread the ground beef over the tortilla.

Season each smash burger with herbed salt and pepper.

Squeeze a little optional mustard around each smash burger if using the mustard option.

Place one smash burger, ground beef side down, in the pan or griddle.
Cook for two to four minutes or until the beef is browned and done.

Using a large spatula turner, carefully flip the burger tortilla over.
Add optional diced onions and sliced cheese to the tortilla burger, and let it cook for another minute until the cheese melts.

Once the cheese melts, add shredded lettuce and drizzle with the special sauce. Repeat the process.

Fold the burger tortilla in half like a taco and place it on a plate.

Serve whole or cut the taco in half and serve immediately.
Variations
- Spicy - Add chopped pepperoncinis or jalapenos to the smash burger for some heat.
- Deluxe - You can add chopped cooked bacon, guacamole, and chopped tomatoes to your keto smash burger taco.
