    Optinal Garnishes

    Parmesan Roasted Delicata

    • One medium-sized (7-8 inch) delicata squash
    • 2 ½  tablespoons olive oil or melted butter
    • Four tablespoons of Grated Parmesan Cheese
    • One teaspoon Garlic Powder
    • ¼  teaspoon Salt
    • ¼  teaspoon Black Pepper 

    Optional Garnish

    • ½ tablespoon Fresh Thyme leaves
    • 1 ½ tablespoons Cooked Bacon crumbled *optional
    • One tablespoon Shaved Parmesan *optional

    Instructions

    Lining a baking tray witth parchment paper.

    Heat the oven to 425°F (220℃) and line a baking tray with parchment paper or a silicone mat. Set aside.

    Mixing the seasonings for the squash.

    Combine the grated parmesan, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper in a medium-sized bowl. Set aside.

    Cutting off the ends of the delicata squash.

    Wash and dry the delicata squash and cut off the ends.

    Cutting the squash in half.

    Cut the delicata squash in half, lengthwise.

    Scooping out the seeds.

    Scoop out and discard the seeds.

    Preparing the squash to be sliced.

    Cut each squash half width-wise into ½-inch-thick slices or crescents.

    Brush each squash slice with olive oil or melted butter on each side. Arrange squash slices on the baking tray.

    Sprinkling the seasonings on the squash.

    Sprinkle squash with ½ of the parmesan garlic mixture.

    Bake the delicata squash for 15 to 20 minutes or until it starts to brown and becomes tender.

    Remove from oven and use a spatula turner to flip over squash slices.
