These easy-to-make keto shake bake pork chops are savory, crisp, and absolutely delicious.

Easy Keto low carb breaded and baked Pork ChopsPin

They are low-carb and gluten-free, breaded and baked pork chops that you will love just as much, if not more, than the traditional ones.

If you grew up in the '70s, you probably made or were served shake-and-bake chicken or pork chops.

It was all the rage when I was younger, as people were trying to avoid frying because of the fat involved.

So it is ironic that years ago, when I started eating a low-carb, high-fat diet, I tried to recreate a shake-and-bake style version with more fat but still the ease and simplicity of baking.

Easy Keto low carb breaded and baked Pork ChopsPin

I was surprised to find that my family prefers the taste of my low-carb, gluten-free shake-bake pork chops to the old-school traditional kind!

My hubby thinks these have a lot more flavor than the store-bought kind.

I have made different low-carb versions of shake-and-bake breading in the past, using different spices and different nut or seed flours that also taste amazing.

Still, this new version is the easiest to make and has the most accessible ingredients to acquire.

Easy Keto Shake Bake Pork Chops

    Ingredients:

    • 1 lb  pork chops (about four 4-ounce pork chops)
    • ¾  cup almond flour
    • 2 ½  tablespoon finely grated Parmesan cheese (the powdered kind)
    • 1  teaspoon paprika
    • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
    • ½  teaspoon sea salt
    • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
    • ½  teaspoon onion powder
    • 1 large egg, beaten
    • 2 tablespoon heavy cream

    Directions:

    1. Preheat oven to 400℉ (200℃). Generously grease or oil a large baking sheet.
    2. In a large zipper style freezer bag, add the almond flour, parmesan cheese, paprika, garlic powder, sea salt, black pepper, and onion powder. Close bag and shake to mix breading. Set aside.
    3. In a separate medium-size mixing bowl, beat egg and the heavy cream.
    4. Dip a pork chop in beaten egg mixture to lightly coat. Place pork chop in the zippered bag, close the bag, and shake pork chop until coated. Open the bag and place pork chop on the prepared baking sheet. Repeat the process with the remaining pork chops.
    5. Bake at 400℉ (200℃) for 20 to 30 minutes (depending on the thickness of pork chop and whether it is bone-in or boneless), flipping the pork chops over halfway through cooking time.
    6. Remove from oven and serve.

Made these pork chops tonight. We really liked them. I used half almond flour and half crushed pork rinds. I will be making them again. Thank you for the recipe.

These Are Absolutely Amazing! The Only Thing I Did Differently Was Bake Them On A Wire Rack In The Oven. It Crisps Both Sides Without Having To Turn Them.

Made this tonight, they didn't come out crispy but the flavor more than made up for that. Next time I might try air frying or broiling for a minute on each side. Thank you for the delicious recipe!

My husband is not an almond flour fan, so I used 1/2 cup almond flour and 1/2 cup grated Parmesan for the coating base, with all the spices in the recipe. The chops were tender, juicy, and delicious!!!

Brandy, I put the pork chops on a lightly greased basket or tray in the air fryer on 375 F for 9-10 minutes flipping over halfway through the cooking time. They are even better in the air fryer!

I made this tonight and I am going to make it again. The almond flour flavor went so well with the pork chops! I am experimenting with non traditional ways of cooking cauliflower and so sautéed it with olive oil and real butter instead of steam, boil or roast.....it came out great! Everything went so well together. I give the pork chop recipe a 10. Thanks! So yummy.

So good! Make sure you pay those pork chops with paper towel before dipping them. You’ll have a nice coating that sticks when your done.
Have you tried this with chicken? Wondering if I can use the same ingredients and have it turn out just as good.

I was skeptical of the breading, but decided to give it a try. So glad that I did! It was so good! My very picky husband who doesn’t do low carb and liked them! Next time I’ll try to crisp them up a little more and I added more salt and pepper, but other than that I wouldn’t change a thing! 👌
